Kumasi Polytechnic Institute for Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Development (KPIEED) is a newly established centre at Kumasi Polytechnic with three (3) main areas of focus:

1. Research and Development

2. Consultancy Services and

3. Academic Department

Research and Development

The research department is tasked with four (4) major roles:

1. To offer counseling to students who want to opt for self employment after graduation

2. To help defreeze wage employment mentality amongst students and imbibe in self employment

3. To offer door-to-door consultancy services to small scale enterprises and the business community as a whole

4. To organize public lectures and other fora to educate the public on entrepreneurship and entreprise development. This is very crucial because the general environment including child upbringing plays a major role in development of entrepreneurship.
