A tenancy agreement regularizing the stay of Zenith Bank on the premises of Kumasi Polytechnic has been formally signed by representatives of the two entities at a short ceremony.
Professor Nicholas Nsowah-Nuamah, Rector signed for the Polytechnic while Mr. James Wiafe Akenten, the Zonal Manager for Kumasi signed on behalf of the Managing Director of Zenith Bank Mr. Daniel Asiedu.

The SIC Financial Services Limited, the brokerage and investment arm of the State Insurance Company has won the bid to manage the Provident Fund of Kumasi Polytechnic which is currently valued at about GH₵500,000 (five billion old Ghana Cedi). The Kumasi Polytechnic, on Tuesday 15th November, 2011 formally out-doored three new faculties at the institution’s 19th Matriculation ceremony. The Kumasi Polytechnic is collaborating with the Yangtze University of China to start a six-year medicine programme with effect from January 2012. According to the Rector of K-Poly, Professor Nicholas Nsowah Nuamah, the aim of the programme is to train more medical students to augment the numbers of doctors and medical practitioners in Ghana, with the view to improving the abysmal doctor - patient ratio.

The Kumasi Polytechnic is to run a three-year PhD programme in Statistics with effect from the 2012/2013 academic year. In this regard, the Polytechnic is collaborating with the Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone - Freetown, which has a strong Statistics faculty, to run the programme.
AKTECH Suppliers and Logistics, local representatives of AMATROL INC. of the United States, has presented five brand new Toshiba laptops to the Kumasi Polytechnic. The laptops which cost about GH₵1,450 each (GH₵7,200 altogether) were purposely for the benefit of staff of Mechanical and Electrical departments of the Polytechnic.
A consignment of books, which were donated by a group of Scottish professors to the Kumasi Polytechnic, has been presented to the institution’s library at a short ceremony. The consignment cost about £10,000 (ten thousand pounds sterling), and the donation is the third of its kind by the same benefactors, who are all professors of the Glasgow Caledonian University in Scotland.
