The Kumasi Polytechnic (K-Poly) is to be relocated to Kuntenase in the Bosomtwe District of the Ashanti Region. Currently, the polytechnic has acquired a 300-acre land at Kuntenase, some 10 km from Kumasi for the purpose, and surveyors are in the process of demarcating the land whiles financing is sought for actual construction work to begin.

Professor Nicholas Nicodemus Nana Nsowah-Nuamah, was inducted into office as Rector of the Kumasi Polytechnic at a ceremony held at the Great Hall of the school. He was a senior research fellow, at the Institute of Statistical, Social and Economic Research (ISSER) of the University of Ghana, Legon. He succeeds Dr Benjamin Kwesi Prah.
