Mr. Moses Osei-Bonsu

Librarian

Mr. Moses Osei-Bonsu was appointment as Polytechnic Librarian in August 2008. He holds the Master of Library Studies (MLS) degree from Loughborough University of Technology, England and the Fellowship of the British Library Association (FLA). He is also a Member of the Institute of Information Scientists, and a Fellow of the Ghana Library Association. 

 

Prior to his appointment Mr. Osei-Bonsu worked at the University Library, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology as Consulting Deputy Librarian. Mr. Osei-Bonsu joined the KNUST Library as Senior Assistant Librarian and Head of Cataloguing in 1987.  He was promoted to the position of Deputy Librarian in 1999 and appointed Acting Librarian of KNUST for a year (October, 1999 to September, 2000).

 

Mr. Osei-Bonsu has published a number of articles in international, peer-reviewed, refereed professional journals, and has contributed papers at conferences and seminars. He has served as a resource person at several workshops both locally and internationally.

 

He was a part-time Lecturer and Examiner in Library Studies (Technical Services) Option, B.A.(Book Industry), for the Final Year in the Department of Design and General Art Studies, College of Art, KNUST, Kumasi (1988-1992). He was also a member of the KNUST Strategic Planning Committee (2002-2004).

 

Presently he is Consultant and assessor/reviewer of the Ghana Library Journal, Journal of the University of Science and Technology (JUST) and the Journal of Interlibrary Loan, Document Delivery and Electronic Reserve (U.S.).
