Stephen Baiden is a lecturer in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Kumasi Polytechnic, Ghana.
He holds a Master of Science Degree in Industrial Mathematics, Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, all from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and another Bachelor of Education Degree in Mathematics and a Diploma in Mathematics Education from the University of Cape Coast.
 
He is also pursuing a Master's program in Geographical Information Systems (GIS) by Distance Education at Lund University in Sweden.
 
His Research Interest includes, financial risk models (Credit Risk Measures), Optimal Control models and their use in economics, statistical modeling (Time Series Analysis), and now looking at spatial statistics and its application to epidemiology using GIS.
